Care packages and letters are so wonderful to receive while thru-hiking. If you’d like to send me a care package or a letter of encouragement or one updating me on what’s going on in your life/in the outside world, feel free to send me something to any of the following addresses.
But first, to make sure that I receive it, please write down the address exactly the way it is written here (including the “Please Hold For” and especially my ETA) and notify me somehow–either via blog comment, email, or text/voicemail (I am less likely to receive these as some towns offer wifi but have no cell service), so that I know to look for your package once I arrive. I highly recommend leaving a blog comment so that others know that I will already be receiving a care package at a certain location.
The most important thing to keep in mind is that you send it to me before I get to a particular location (that’s what my ETA/Estimated Time of Arrival is for) and that you do not send it too late or too early. If too late, I cannot go back to pick it up. If too early, most locations only store packages for 2-3 weeks before they open them up and give out the contents for free/sell them at the store. I recommend you write, “If unclaimed in 3 weeks, please return” on the box just in case, but this does not guarantee that exactly that will be done.
Also, my schedule will change. I will sometimes stay at a certain location an extra day or two or more to rest, recover, see friends, and explore. I’m so sorry if this causes any hassle/inconvenience for you, and if I do not receive a package you put a lot of love into, please forgive me! I am so grateful to anyone who even considers sending me a package/letter–the thought definitely counts too.
Lastly, I’d like to write a thank you letter to everyone who mails me something, so please don’t forget to include your return address.

Stehekin is a small community 11 miles southeast of the PCT. Shuttle service connects High Bridge and Stehekin [$7 one-way]. During peak summer season the shuttle runs 4x a day. Shuttle schedule is reduced in Oct. http://www.stehekinlanding.com. Stehekin Landing has a post office that accepts general delivery packages. [509-699-2015] USPS only, Free to pick up.
