What’s Important To Me

Nights in my tent with a headlamp and book are my favorite. And if my battery is charged enough, I may allow myself some quiet music as I reflect on the day’s events, what I’ve learned, who I’m becoming, and what’s important to me.

About elinatravels

I’m Elina Oliferovskiy, a Russian-born 27-year-old restless soul who’s never really found a place to dig her roots in deep ever since I moved to the United States in 1998. I move every year or two, backpack for months at a time, and occasionally live and travel in a motorhome--and I (usually) love every minute of my (somewhat) nomadic lifestyle. Feel free to follow along on my journey by reading my blog!

So great you are doing this NOW and learning all these things — instead of waiting until you are older–Like Me. I am thinking long distance hikes are super valuable regardless of the age or time in your life. Green with envy. Happy, good envy. 😀

Absolutely…do it when you can, and it’ll benefit you either way! Early in life, later in life, while ready and prepared, or broke and under-equipped… you’ll gain so much from the experience that the disadvantages will seem minuscule.

Elina aka “Alexandra Solzenitzen”–Nice pic, but you are looking a little gaunt. Make sure you are eating enough, as we cannot have you waylaid on account of insufficient nutrition.
